I bought here 2 TN4A Cool White at Amazon.
The one in December 2014, the other in early January 2015th
On both packages is on the right bottom side of the label with the scanner and strip imprinted X000AZVEML and then ThruNite (R) TN 4A ITC (... 6 (TN 4A Cool White) New.
Mmm (New) Nevertheless, no lanyard.
It's about the lanyard and the serial number. (Later peculiarities, function and other things)

Nevertheless, the ThruNite TN4A is one of my favorites among the lamps.
Very bright ... WOW.
Long burn-time.
On / off switch is very comfortable.
4 x AA 1.5 volt batteries or 4 x AA 1.2 volt batteries.
Hold with the lamp off 1 to 2 seconds and the Firefly mode is activated.
When the lamp is off Press 1x and you have the first luminous level. At level 1, press again and keep it, then the ThruNite replaced by the lightness levels (3 in number).
Full brightness there by a quick double-click on / off switch when the lamp (whether in Firefly operation or in the other upper levels of brightness).
Through two-time double-click you have the strobe mode when the lamp.
The light angle captures what you want to see. .. No escape ;-)
Whether far away or at close range, just awesome.
The light color is not really a pure white light.
It is in the focus area more of a yellow - white mix but very pleasant, only from the area of the light cone to the outermost edge of light is a bright white light.
This can be seen very well if one directs the light beam on a white background.
Is not included in the delivery: (January 2015)
A lanyard (fabric belt for the wrist).
There is no opening for it.
There are included in the delivery:
1 large O'ring (seal between the lamp glass and the gray lock ring with the 6 crescent-like notches).
2 small O'ringe to replace the connection between the lamp head and battery pack.
1x silicone on / off switch (also for sealing) which is placed under the black aluminum master switch that no water can penetrate.
1x Holster
1x User`s Manual
The lamp is 100% recommendable.
What I personally still hope someday to me by ThruNite which is soon a charger for
Battery / Battery recording or how do you call it ... Battery Pack / drum? .. Are.
Then you could turn on the lamp, remove the battery pack or the drum and put it in the charger.
When the batteries are fully loaded, re-clean it and ThruNite is ready for the next use.
(Of course, only with battery).
No, that has nothing to do with laziness to change the batteries.
Whether one takes 1.5 volt batteries or 1.2 volt batteries that no longer do you get out fast.
It is certainly not a design flaw.
It has probably the function, if the lamp falls the batteries, stuck well and do not slip so that does not turn off the lamp.

Where please the key or tool for the on / off switch (mounting ring) and the upper closure ring around the lantern lens, so you can replace these sealing rings / O'Ringe in a worst case scenario?
The key would have at least 2 (preferably 3), up to 6 metal or hard plastic pins have, so you can crank up the notches, the aluminum rings (ie above the large ring on the glass and the small ring of the on / off switch.
Or is the so handled that is sent the ThruNite in a warranty claim with the seals and there is then changed?
Could indeed be possible .. Mmm?
But would Doof ;-) is not it?
Better yet is the same mitliefern a tool for this or provide favorable than buying.

Please leave during the assembly no dust particles in the reflector and do not scratch in the beautiful Anodized or whatever Anodized on / off switch when tightening the small ring or scratches in the notches of the ring. Thank you. (Looks just not nice and annoyed)
