About the Lens:
For the price you can of course not much metal a little light Strong expected, but the Nikkor is well made, has an internal motor and even a Bildstabilistator. A sun visor is included and a lens pouch, which is not necessarily a given.
The image quality is impressive. It dissolves very high and produced with very few exceptions (when turning the zoom ring) always crisp photos. Disturbing is only the distortion at full wide-angle, which is really intended to correct only the photo program, but also because higher-priced lenses sometimes have their problems. The AF operates quickly and accurately, the image stabilizer makes up to its name and works perfectly.
Conclusion:
Much better and more universally applicable than the 18-55, high resolution, good processing, high speed and a price that makes it even more lucrative --- What more could you want.
Recommended for those who run with their Nikon and a lens through the area that carry around little weight with it, but still want to take good pictures. Ideal for the beginner who wants to see the system be first. Alternatively, of course, is also the combination of 18-55 and 55-200, but because you have to always change, if you want to get a little closer, but it gets then also even closer. This telephoto zoom lens is also good for its price but dissolves at the telephoto end, especially at 200mm not so high even as the 18-105.
