I own a Sonicare FlexCare (and before that 2 Sonicare FlexCare) and always used it the standard brush heads, which provide a good cleaning performance. The new Diamond Clean brush heads, however, really a new generation is, the brush head is shaped differently and has in the middle of a very dense and harder brush core. This brush core manages the water to get much better in motion or accelerate, thereby increasing the cleaning power. As drawback you have to hold it happen with the new brush also for experienced from time to time that the mirror would collect something ;-)
I can understand the new Diamon Clean brush heads highly recommended, I am impressed that they are also compatible with the existing toothbrushes as FlexCare and HealthyWhite.
