I install the humidifier in the child's bedroom. It was part of the recommendations of my attending physician and my ent (to moisten the children's room). In one week of use, I noticed that colds are less addictive (it is in the period of early spring or sunny days and cool days are intertwined, which did not help much with colds children they to pass on more to school). So really effective, in my opinion.
Certainly, this device is quite expensive and cumbersome, but you can easily despite all find a place in the children's room as the design is nice and simple. Noise rating means in position I, a slight murmur which is not at all embarrassing (for against, the position II is really noisy). Children do not complain of noise at all, and they sleep with.
As against, Philips chose blue LEDs, and frankly even if it's going very well with the design, in the dark, it does not forgive. Imagine a light blue alarm clock with digital display: one could read the time at night, AC is on, but we also constantly see the source of light. Children do not have all loving it and complained about it. We had to put brown adhesive tape on leds to hide, ca kills a little aesthetics of the device but at least the children can sleep.
This may be due to the VMC double flow that dries well with the house, but I have to recharge water quickly: ca holds roughly 18h, no more and we must put the water, yet the water capacity seems ok to me (and given the size of the device, I would not want it to be larger, it is already quite cumbersome like that).
IN its qualities, I recognize that this device is very simple to use, no need to read the user manual, the establishment is natural. What is unfortunate is that Philips has not put in the benefits of a humidifier is and what is known to be useful, and for what size piece of this device is adapted (the children's room is a big 15 or 17 m2).
In short:
- Simple to use
- Little noisy, does not interfere with children, slight murmur when using the position I
- Too bright LEDs, a gene bcp children
- Water fill a minimum 1 time a day
- The manual does not specify under what conditions a humidifier is useful and does not specify the size of the parts for which this device is effective
- I saw an improvement in children with hay this humidifier.
I updaterai my review this winter, or the colds and viruses small raging, see if it made a real difference at home. At least for the moment, I am very satisfied with this humidifier.
