The first device has received does not work, there was only an error message on the display. No response to the remote control or the input via buttons on the device. No picture at 2 different TVs.
This unit went back and compensation was ordered. Service at Amazon perfectly and a few days later came the replacement device, which worked. Delivery: Reciever, including power cable, remote control, 2 pcs AAA batteries, Quick Start Guide.
The following points I've found:
+ Good equipment at a reasonable price
+ Despite often bemängelder here manual I had to take a problem the unit into operation, troubleshooting is likely to make more difficult without guidance
+ Easy partly self-explanatory operation menu
+ Image on my old RöhrenTV super, HD capability could not be tested
+ Amazon service in exchange for the first unit 1A
- Long switch
- Channel sorting menu sometimes very complicated / time consuming
- Switching times quite long, compared to my 8 year old predecessor Reciever
- In case of problems may fail to remedy the non-existent manual
- After 30 days no more Funtion with ORF card
ORF:
ORF card (new from Jan. 2015) was initially identified properly with the existing CI module, but no longer funtioniert now. The old ORF card with the CI module and the old Receiver has until a few months working properly. Old Receiver has given up the ghost. The new Opticum no longer reads the ORF card is approximately 1 month now and there is no picture. According to information provided by the ORF-engineer this is on Recievier, funtioniert the map. Test with a different Receiver shows on the map and the CI module not liegts. I can see the reviews of other buyers here do not understand that have written is of a trouble-free function with the ORF card purchased the product because these descriptions.
Maybe I am wrong and there is a way to get started with ORF card the device. The operating instructions are not indicative about it. I as a normal user with no special knowledge can range from a purchase to behold ORF permanently only advise.
3 stars for good basic functions of the device, because of the low price and the good support Amazon. Unfortunately not, due to lack of compatibility with the ORF card, the slow switching times and the lack of operating instructions.
