For multi-tuner I can not say anything except that there are several reasons to make a purchase for me:
-no Unicable Support
-Only two tuner / channels (the competitor have across the board four!)
-no DLNA / UPnP Support
For these reasons, I have decided on a GSS.Box DSI 400. It supports these features and is also considerably cheaper. If you want to only stream a single satellite channel on an iPad or Android tablet should have a look at the Mirage-02 receiver and 05 toss. This function also allegedly with the Elgato SAT> IP app.
Prehistory
I already had a Devolo HD-1300 set a number of years in service and was very pleased with the set-top box. I have the system recommended several times. The HD-1300 does basically the same as SAT> IP and since Devolo has jumped on the SAT> IP train, it should not be a problem. Unfortunately, there is for the old HD-1300 receiver no more updates, technically the box to be able (the old system also does nothing more than the TS stream via TCP / IP or UDP to send). For a new firmware with SAT> IP I would Devolo yet paid cash support, the three-year warranty is finally not yet expired. So much for my motives for Devolo (I'm still a 14.4er and 33.6er Elsa Microlink in the closet ...).
The "Devolo dLAN TV Sat Receiver" set-top box corresponding to the apparently known Devolo 2400 Ci + receiver and makes a robust impression, the remote control is good, the menu excellent and the device ran also promising; my SAT> IP server was found immediately. The 'old' 2400Ci + receivers can be upgraded with a "SAT> IP" update from the devolo website.
With the pre-set program lists the SD channels for a few seconds will be played, then freeze but a. After about 10 seconds the program will run again for a few seconds to freeze again. The HD channels do not run. A channel scan does not find channels.
The Devolo receiver also has an ability to access multimedia server (DLNA or UPnP). My SAT> IP Server GSS.Box DSI 400 has integrated such a service. When I select my SAT> IP Server, the channels are displayed and can be played (both SD and HD!). Easily, only one can not "zap" no EPG, etc .. My conclusion has thus far; the box it may, the firmware has errors when communicating with strangers, certified SAT> IP servers -> annoying but remediable.
Since the receiver my SAT> IP Server understands at least partly, I turned by email to the Devolo Support. Then after 4 days and a demand I got the terse statement that the Receiver SAT> IP is not certified and operating with my SAT> IP Server can not be guaranteed. So Devolo-SAT> IP anything other than genuine SAT> IP? As a longtime loyal customer, I am very disappointed. As a manufacturer you adorn yourselves with that SAT> IP Logo and open standards and then fails so a few meters before the finish line. There is not even an update offered the prospect of the faulty satellite fixes> IP implementation. Very very weak from a manufacturer who wishes to see itself as a premium brand. Your implemented SAT> IP in certified multi-tuner and your own receiver does not understand the standard.
School grades:
Hardware: very good
Software: good
-SAT> IP Compatibility: deficient
-Support: Sufficient
-Reaktionszeit Support: deficient
Prize money: enough
With the current software version, I can only advise.
