Diablo 2 Gold

This is my first review, so I ask for some leniency.

First I want to mention, I'm a big fan of Diablo, I have played the first part, I played the 2nd part with expansion, I played the 3rd part and am still unsure whether I there also bring me my extension should.

I'll write down a summary for the lazy people.

To Delivery:
After my appointment on January 2 I had the game on January 6 was not expected in his hand, just as expected on 7 January. Here's a thank you to Amazon!
As with a new game (only applies to the packaging, the game Diablo 2 since 2001. existier) was we expected impeccable.
There were no scratches or smear on the CD's. (This did [I] [not from Amazon] already experienced with a new purchase)

The game:
First of all, the following notice:
I would recommend everyone not to install the game on the drive with Windows (who has Windows Vista and later), because the game in this way must be started with administrator rights. There were also minor problems with me through the installation in "C".
(My system I will explain at the end of the post) After I made a few adjustments (the game in compatibility mode and start as admin) I had to let go through the graphics settings, this start, if you're only here again in compatibility mode ,
I recommend for both the compatibility mode "Windows XP Service Pack 2".
And when the game started, I wanted to log into the closed Battle.net (The multiplayer on the Blizzard servers). The game was "patching" (patch 1.12 is on the CD), but did not go. The problem with me was, despite Admin rights for the game had the Blizzard Updater no admin rights to change the Patch.mpq in C drive. (This problem can be avoided by either Diablo 2 is installed on a drive other than the operating system, or you are looking for on the Internet the "current" patch 1.13d and leads the patch manually with admin rights for the Blizzard Updater)
Now my game was up to date and I wanted online games. There was the next problem, in spite of my computer it jerky when a lot was going on. I found after a few minutes googling out that the newer computers no longer really got to grips with the old DirectX version of the game. Again, I found the solution. It is called Glide.
3 additional small files and the game runs perfectly!

There are 5 different levels of Akt, per Act 6 missions (Act 4 Sorry, there are only 3). This must be played in the levels "Normal", "nightmare" and "hell". One can in Act 1, the first 2 missions as a "Tutorial". There are plenty of items (gems, jewels, runes, objects, rings, amulets) to farms, if you want to have perfect equipment. The drop rate was significantly reduced by Blizzard in Patch 1.13d! In my opinion, harm the stake is not if, like me, (even) on the farms has fun. You spend only a short time in the closed Battle.Net and quickly realize where the levels are in the can well levels, from hell, there are many games in which you can by Bot's fast and easy leveling.
In the game, there are unfortunately only the resolutions 640x480 (4: 3) and 800x600 (4: 3), who sees in between on his cell phone, will wonder why it looks so sharp at once.
Multiplayer:
At a rather difficult point you have to get the multiplayer (Battle.Net). Guests wishing to play online is here a lot of nice people to get to know, but unfortunately no longer play so many people Diablo2 LoD. Therefore it is a bit annoyed by spam bots. This however can be avoided by adding Level requirements when creating the game.

Personal Opinion:
Yes, the game is on current computers prepare small problems, but not those coming from the game itself, but by the operating system (if Windows is used on Vista)!

The game is now running after all the little things (for which I have a total of not even half an hour hand with google) in the whole super!
The game is now almost 13 years old and it accompanies me half my life and I still love it as it was then!

From me a clear recommendation for all who want to play an RPG.

+ Long-term fun for people who like to farms (many items, runes, gems, jewels, rings, amulet)
+ Fast progress (first quests are like a kind of tutorial, slight rise from Level)

- Closed Battle.Net many spambots go
