A huge surprise that this album came out of nowhere. Or rather of northern Europe with minimalist atmosphere and almost icy, but also touching. Surprising mix. Agnes Obel's voice carries a lot of emotion and she tells us with incredible accuracy very simple stories of each title. Amazing she did not sing ... I love his voice and his funny accent. I much prefer the titles sung with very beautiful instrumental but which actually look like the Eric Satie.
It's been 3 years since this album came out and I listen at least once a week. But when Agnes Obel released (finally) his second album?
