At the opening we have:
A hard case
A soft case
The helmet
A manual (very light)
A cable / remote control (already attached to the helmet, but can be removed)
Do not rely on packaging that is somewhat spooky and boardy.
You do not really feel like buying a helmet 200!
No matter, as long as the content is worthwhile.
*** Presentation ***
Nothing wrong with that level.
Everything exudes quality and an exemplary finish.
The headset is not very great, and what is more "pliable".
While the arch remains "fixed" but it saves a few centimeters when we want transport.
The appearance is very sober, even if the next "metal" shackle spring just for design.
Foams, leather and molletonnage are impeccable.
No noise-blocker.
Ergonomics *** ***
The arch (same metal) is not likely to hurt because it is "padded".
The atria are just as (and can withdraw according to the manual)
The cable is quite "light" (I have stayed in much larger ... like the Grado), bent on its jack (handy for nomadism).
It may withdraw the helmet, BUT it is probably locked by the system owner of the mark. It is indeed necessary to rotate it on its axis (at the base) a quarter turn to remove.
Its length is no longer correct.
The remote control is provided with a microphone.
We have the classics: volume + / - and pause / play.
I have an Android smartphone (LG G2) also confirm that everything works perfectly.
If you quickly press play / pause can "jump" to beach and small bonus (not seen in the doc) if pressed long on play / pause it automatically launches Google Voice Search.
Ditto a call with the same button can be denied.
I gave him a small complaint is that it is very high (or too close to the helmet) and functions of the buttons are not easily detectable (can be used with it will change).
*** *** Listen
This is for the cost completely subjective and I would strongly advise you to listen to your own songs (a dealer) to see if it suits you or not.
Given its destination use, I listened to on iPod and Smarphone.
La Roux - Bulletproof
Ouch! The high-pitched voice of La Roux loses some / many with the presence of grave goods put forward ...
She suffers some of his lack of "safe" ...
Rogger & Zapp - More Bounce to the Ounce
A real pleasure to listen to this piece of funk with this headset.
The bass are very well identified, the nagging rythymique very well rendered.
The separation of instruments and voices perfectly restored between left and right (it can be confusing).
Jason Derulo - Want to Want Me
Piece very pop, impeccable in his listening.
Mastery of modern blameless.
The grave goods are present without much affecting the rest of the spectrum.
AC / DC - Shoot to Thrill (Live At Donington)
It goes pretty well, but the guitars are somewhat "strangled". Lack of precision in the treble, while the bass is well emphasized.
Small disappointment ...
AC / DC - Highway to Hell (Live at Donington)
Same as above. The voice is restored, but the guitars and bass are less well rendered the rest of the spectrum.
Kanye West - Black Skinhead
Whoa! It is for this piece! Graves returned parfaitements, which does not stifle the voice of Kanye.
No complaints, very dynamic.
Within Temptation - Faster
Phew! I was afraid that the guitars go by the wayside with my plays AC / DC.
Here they found a little color, although I find they still lack personal colors.
The piece remains balanced in the end.
Serious come to stay in the stable, leaving a small chance the singer ...
La Roux - In for the Skill (Skreams Let's Get Ravey Mix)
Piece as scavenger only focused on the subwoofer and treble, almost no medium.
Oddly much in my previous plays La Roux she suffered "the law" Momentum, so here she is doing well.
The bass are well mastered and "not rolling."
Don Diablo vs The White Stripes - Seven Nation Daddy
Again here is a "fact" piece for this helmet and configuration.
The throbbing bass of the original song is well made, and the spatiality of fairly broken instruments when they are all listening.
Carla Gugino & Oscar Isaac - Love is a drug
A sweet little recovery, which listens without problem.
It can be sweet when he's not playing in the "heavyweight".
Good point.
Harry Connick Jr - Just Kiss Me
Harry's voice is returned. The heat very well rendered brass. A real pleasure to hear. If need to quibble a lack of precision copper precisely in instruments, but nothing serious.
Piece perfectly rendered in dynamic level.
Good heat stress.
Rossini - The Barber of Seville ((Claudio Abbado & Chamber Orchestra Of Europe)) -The N.6 Aria- Calunnia È A Venticello - Recitativo
and N.8 Aria- -A A Dottor Della Sorte Mia
Well, I suspected that he was just having a bit of trouble with the classic ...
First the good points: Voices. Hot, although returned without being phagocytosed by the rest.
Speaking of rest ... You can forget, violins are completely stifled by the bass.
The almost absent treble.
I have a feeling it is not intended for this type of music ...
*** Elements common to all tracks ***
The overall sound aspect is that all the instruments are perfectly separated left / right.
The voices are not "hung up" in the middle of the skull.
But not all the spatial accuracy of a Grado (to name him) by making the music scene "face" like a pair of conventional speakers.
Result of my plays (purely subjective)
Sennheiser seem to get a very good headphones, very dynamic bass levels that are very present, without being evil returned.
However, the highs can sometimes appear below in terms of presentation.
It will fill with joy the fans of energetic and punchy music.
Restitution is very "clean", no burrs or saturation.
Warning!
It is not very accommodating in the quality of recordings.
Defects (breath, distortion, coding ...) will appear quickly your ears. A good tip: choose CDs or FLAC / Flawless format.
In short, a good helmet that is in direct competition with Focal Spirit, Grado SR 125 and consort ...
Good listening to you all!
