So it was time to replace the stuff by simple stereo speakers. I've read the reviews on the boxes from Logitech, Philips and Creative here. Everywhere there appeared problems with the quality to give or you had to go to> 100 EUR Range to apparently get quality. I am, in principle, already a sound quality freak and have converted my whole CD collection in FLAC. But now I wanted the right and left next to my new Eizo must not build huge pieces and simply get only useful sound at a fair price.
These seemed to me from the reviews, specifications and price wise these same Gigaworks T20 Series II to be the right people.
A review that seemed to resent the standby mode rather would have kept me from buying almost. But luckily I've been buying since no regrets and the standby mode (only happens after 10 minutes without any sound and then save tidy power) has not negatively noticed.
The sound is perfectly adequate for me. Of course I turned up properly once at the beginning and the sound was clear, unexpectedly loud and broke the music pretty well on.
Of course, these are not high-end boxes, etc. with ELAC can compete for> EUR 1,000. But if I really want to have hi, then I sit down well before my system and not in front of my PC.
I find the sound for listening to music on the PC while working more than adequate. Through the narrow design, they do not take up much space. The wiring was simple, I found a separate power supply even better to draw than the current via USB from the PC. I need any USB port on my computer.
Positive I found the 3 controls for bass, treble and volume. Thus one can theoretically sound even fine tune.
The out coming forward headphone and Aux-In port, I now do not really need, since my PC these outputs has the front of the housing itself, but it can already be quite well for some a handy feature.
Connected to the price of currently EUR 59.- (down from 99.-) here on Amazon, I find the price / performance ratio compared to other PC-speakers also perfectly adequate.
I would buy again at any time previously.
