I wanted at all costs try to connect a tablet with mini HDMI on my 22-inch screen that has only VGA / DVI input. So I plugged the adapter on the tablet, then a second to DVI adapter in a row, with at the end a DVI-DVI cable beast and therefore LCD = balance: impeccable operation, the tablet has quietly posted on the '22-inch screen.
Of course, no sound in this particular configuration => roughly speaking, one could say that HDMI is nothing more than a DVI which we added some son to add audio.
Note: 2 adapters which I speak come from the same shop = ordered together, and received very quickly.
