The product comes without notice, but with a software installation CD HONESTECH HD DVR 2.5.
Rudimentary software, but does its job.
I used the RCA video jack and two RCA for audio provided on the cord. Everything worked nickel. The audio through the PC sound card did not work (software problem?).
The honestech software cd is designed to operate on windows 7.
I could digitize my VHS tapes without any problem, I am very happy. The video format is 720 * 576.

THE source being on VHS, and some old cassettes, the video quality is not tip top, but hey, it's not so much worse than the quality of the source !!

I can only recommend this product for Windows 7 and for scanning these old video VHS or camcorder. (Just have RCA jacks).

Note that it must be set in the honestech software, the video format of the source (PAL or SECAM D L sufficient for most cases).

For me, good product for the price. It does the job expected of it for a very reasonable price.
