The print quality is OK or good and the printing of CDs and DVDs work - if appropriate (printable) blanks.
Therefore, 3 stars, and I've been thinking long whether 2 would not be meaningful because:
Compared to my much more robust HP printer, the Canon is still quite a "clunker". The 2
Papierfäch-lein one must already deal with a lot of tact, so not somewhere aborts plastic and the paper output tray is not much better.
The "normal" print I have not tried, because not needed, I will confine myself to the CD printing:
The software for creating print templates served its purpose and is included free of charge. Good!
However, I first looked for a while until I found the support for the blank! He was namely to
the bottom one of the two paper drawers latched.
For the actual printing process then it takes time and sensitivity.
Time not because the pressure as long as needed (which is really fast), but because the insertion of the CD-holder is a tricky business:
After "Druckbefehlt" by the software an orange light on the printer blinks first. Now insert the holder has NOT, but first the CD door on the printer (there is a separate) close and open again shortly afterwards.
Then insert the CD holder gently until you come across the first resistor. Then press the button with the orange flashing lights. Ideally, the printer then wants to move the CD ... but it helps if you thereby nachhilft light with full pressure ... first he pushes out the CD 5mm ... then he wants to move, but they can no longer engage properly and there you then have to help. When you first printed 10-20 blanks, you have it out.
The pressure then takes about 1 minute. This is fast enough for my needs. The quality is also absolutely fine.
Compared to my HP (Officejet Pro) the Canon needs before he gets going after a certain "break" a long time to print: Since the print head cartridge including back and forth, the rollers for moving the paper run several times to etc. pp. I know that so not of my HP. If I even after 1-2 days Non-Print hinschicke a job there, it takes a maximum of 5 seconds until he woke up fromthe standby and losdrückt.Kein noise and calibrating ahead. It simply prints.
That you need with the Canon do not expect.
Therefore: For very small-volume (also due to the small drawer capacity) and specific requirements (CD printing) can accept it. When "single" printers prefer the budget does not. For Grobmotoriker or impatient individuals (if the technology is not the same that does what you'd expect) not recommended.
