In previous GPS (eTrex Vista HCx) I had put on the Garmin solution for the bike that did not convince me one hundred percent. The Vista had some play. Only after relining it then sat bombproof. For the new Etrex Garmin offers a similar fastening, in but apparently (we read different reviews) exactly the opposite is the case. The unit seems so determined to hang that loose from the frame always drives the cold sweat on his forehead, that something breaks. So I searched for alternatives and have remained fast hanging in the mount from RAM Mount. The shell principle comes to meet me. The GPS towers over the stem and into the bowl held securely, even in the area by mountain bike. And you can easily get out of the shell or completely turn with bowl of holder. And these (or any other RAM-Mount) holder must to buy one, otherwise you can not bowl bring to your bike or motorcycle. I bought the bike for the holder "RAM MOUNT handlebar clamp, trapezoidal base (RAP 274-1U)". In my view, with more than 16, - EUR a bit overpriced, but that's not out here, but in the review of the holder. The GPS Holder (RAM-HOL-GA48) is in my opinion worth every euro and at the moment I would buy it again. Should it turn out in the near future a problem, I'll note here.
