- IPad 4 and iPad Air load on the two jacks 'iPad' with full 12 watts (measured value corresponds to the original Apple power supply).
- IPhone 5s invites to all jacks (also Android) with full 5.6 watts (measured value corresponds to the original Apple power supply). Exception: the Samsung Jack, there is only 2.6 watts loaded (as expected).
- IPad 4 and iPad Air load together with 22 Watt
- IPad4, Air Ipad and iPhone 5s load together with 27 Watt.
(FYI: the iPad loads on the Android jack with 8.3 watts.)
Wow! With such a good feature I did not expect. Then there are the two obvious advantages:
- Additional power cord to the device. Finally you can put the USB ports to where you need them.
- Stylish design and light weight.
At 27 watts above test the device is not hot outside, at best, at a place warm. However, it then begins to stink like elephant dung. A very untypical smell, definitely not as electrical overload. No matter, I'll never use that anyway. And thanks to the current discount campaign (15.99, code ANKERWLG) clear for me 5 stars.
Supplement 3 days later: I bought two more, which does not 'whistle'. The aforementioned smell has vanished after two days of the first unit. Interestingly, the first a 76 cm long power cord, as mentioned in the product description, but is actually nonsense, because then it does not fit from the ground up on a desk. The 2 new had now (in spite of identical packaging) twice as long power cable - 150 cm. So the power supply makes even more fun!
Addendum on 01/02/2014: My review is from the 25W anchor. For several days anchor has been replaced by a 40W with 'smart ports'. I find it absolutely inkazeptabel that all previous reviews and ratings of 25 W device now in a completely different machine, with internally completely different technique available. My review does not refer to the 40W model, lack of testing I can neither recommend nor advise against it.
