The structure is simple: insert PS4, plug the USB cable into one of the USB slots and you're done. Here, the manufacturer dispenses entirely with a short guide how can install the thing. In itself not a problem, but the 3 pictograms might have found enough space on the packaging, so that my mother can also still up.
The controllers are sideways upended in the foot and loaded it. The shape fits and the controllers are amazingly good place. I would have felt hakeliger expected. Very ugly: The controller only load when the machine is turned on, let say overnight load the controller only works when the blue LED lights up and the fans are running also.
The three USB slots on the front make also exactly what they should: provide electricity for three more units.
Next to it is an On / Off switch for the fan. If you press it, then lit a small blue LED. But why should light up all these days? Especially when the fans are so incredibly loud that you really can not help but see that the device is turned on? Even headphones still hear him loud and clear. He is compared about as loud as a PS3 first generation with a current.
Unfortunately to leave the fan turned off is no solution either, since there are the vents under the appliance and can overheat it so easily.
Conclusion:
Optics: 3 stars (Hardware manufacturers have never known how to pack some pretty)
Idea: 5 stars
It consumes 4 stars
Volume: 1 Star
Had they dispensed the fan and instead as in the original state easily installed ducts for ventilation, the base would be good. Unfortunately you have to as an engineer installed anywhere things can be turned. Too bad. I'm going to prefer to rely on the original accessories (stand and controller charger). That looks pretty, saves space and makes no noise, as if Mom next door has unpacked the vacuum cleaner.
