So looking for an empty socket and wired the receiver with the hi-fi system.
First pairing experiment with my Motorola Defy ... works! Wonderful !!!
Then time running around in the house with the phone. Range fits, from just over 10 meters it comes to dropouts, but then makes two to three walls in between :)
However equal a first, small fly in the ointment:
For transmission via Bluetooth mobile phone Internal Equalizer function is out :(, but this is the software of the mobile phone based, the receiver is not really to blame.
However, could the reason herein are why the receiver has already been described several times as compared to the direct line cable as Bassarm when an otherwise existing bass enhancement is bypassed through the Bluetooth connection, of course, comes less bass from the system)
Next try: Does the box with the Win 7 laptop?
Yes, it does, but the connection could be established only at the second attempt. Why? No Idea. However, the coverage is limited in the use of the laptop as the source of about 5-10 m. When the computer is in the next room there is already occasional dropouts in the transmission.
Again, the equalizer of the computer is bypassed again. What a pity, quote at least when the connected equipment provides little or no possibilities for sonic quality.
The sound quality is fine. Even when playing uncompressed CDs, the difference between Bluetooth connection and line cable is barely audible when is disabled in two outputs of the EQ.
However, the output level of the Bluetooth Box for my taste a little too low. Compared to all other input sources (DVD player, tuner, mobile / PC on Aux In) I had the level of the hi-fi system readjust nearly 10dB.
OK, thus overdriving the inputs used is almost impossible, unfortunately this also the dynamic range is reduced.
This is also the reason why there are no 5 star.
Thus actually remain only two suggestions for improvement:
1. An enhanced driver which (ideally independent of the used sound card) allows an equalizing for the Bluetooth output
2. A volume control either contained in this driver or better yet a can be controlled by which works of a higher output level ideally in the pits (thus would be a straightforward operation of headsets on the box is possible)
Conclusion:
The box does what it should, a higher, adjustable output voltage, however, would not hurt
