The film appeared very realistic and human nachvollziehbar- me so it may have been quite as in the 17th century the missionaries met with her good intentions to the Indians, in their everyday lives, the Christian religion, which has developed under very different conditions and circumstances, simply did not fit. And so just well-intentioned actions bring dire consequences and the Indians would get it better to leave the preacher his fate ... I also liked the glimpse into a strange magical world and order of nature, "where dreams are more real than reality" that ultimately unsettled even the priest and the leaves make us tiefnachdenklich.
