Then Amazon came up with the fabulous offer for Prime customers can be saved with the photos unlimited. Exactly what I was looking for. Well, the videos exceed the 5GB free, but for 8 in the memory is increased to 20GB. This is priced absolutely in the frame, even if it still should be replaced by another cloud storage at some point.
App Review:
In principle, I am impressed by the app, it works perfectly and is also fast enough. Stream video outstanding so far, even the slightly less compressed at high bit rate. Appears after the images / albums the preview photos must not be recharged to date and available quickly.
Up to this point there is still no star deduction, but for the following minimalist or not even existing features:
- Upload (1/2 star deduction): The upload from within the app is stored in a manner specified by the app, depending on the device and rigid directory. So I can make friends, at least for an automatic upload. For manual uploads, I would hope that you can choose (called album) to the directory itself. Then you would have only namely uploading, what you really want to keep.
- Picture or video management (1 star deduction): Not only that, you can not choose the upload folder, no, you can not even move them to other albums the pictures. This feature is only available in the browser. Unfortunately, this is very awkward. Should this function not be submitted that a KO criterion might someday be.
- Ugliness reloading the full pictures (1/2 star deduction): What "look" at me pictures bothers is reloading. When you open an image, you can see the enlarged first preview version, which is ansich nothing bad. But as soon as the original version is loaded, automatically out of the picture. That bothers something, especially since images are not always loaded from a few MB in size 1-2 seconds and the view then repeatedly returns. If you just slightly "Wipe" is on, which is very annoying in the long run.
Desirable features:
- Can group albums. I had an "album" and if there were videos to I similar to date in the dropbox this in a subfolder called "videos" stored. This works in the app not, so I had to break all separations within my folder structure and have a maximum of "flat" hierarchy, say for example, the folder "holiday 2014" plus "holiday 2014 Video". Not bad, but confusing for my order. It would be nice to sort that pays attention to subfolders and does not consider any folders independently.
- Optional start the app in the Album view. I do not always see the same "all", especially as some very old pictures and videos that seem to have no valid for Amazon dates and are always at the top.
- A name display would be great because I always name my videos so I find them again.
