I use two ASUS VS239HV on a PC. Because my video card but has only one DVI and one HDMI port, I had to connect the two monitors via different interfaces. Unfortunately, the color reproduction and brilliance of the picture was significantly different. The connected via HDMI screen was much darker in comparison, as the connected via DVI (the already in default, showed an excellent picture). Neither the OSD directly on the screen, nor the Windows Image Color Management I managed to configure the two devices so that the representation of even remotely fit each other. Annoying, because I had an extra two times the same model bought to get a same picture possible. Testing I then times swapped the cables under the screen - again the connected HDMI device was darker. So this is obviously not to manufacturing tolerances, but to a different treatment of the image signals in the monitor, depending on which interface they originate.
I then ordered a HDMI to DVI cable and now use both monitors the DVI port, since this in my view provides the superior picture. After a minimum brightness correction than the OSD image reproduction is now almost the same for both monitors.
Benefits: + IPS panel with good, brilliant color reproduction (when connected via DVI) + Excellent value for money + Timeless design
Disadvantages: - Image display when using the HDMI interface is much worse - Monitor is not adjustable in height - Monitors with IPS panels are generally less suitable because of the higher response time to play than TN panels
