It is clear that such vehicles are in principle not suitable for cars with glass or aluminum roofs. On steel sunroofs of the carrier can be mounted in theory, but one must avoid mistakenly open the sunroof necessarily. In addition, a sufficiently large flat bearing surface must be given.
The two carriers are easy to put on the roof. The roof should be clean and free of ice to ensure proper magnetic contact. The carriers are therefore not normally disassembled on site at the ski resort. The distance should be chosen so that on the one hand (for snowboards), the two bonds between both carriers fit and the other, a distance of about 70cm is not undershot. This should generally not be a problem.
Loose binding parts of snowboards or skis should be fixed (for example by being closed) so they do not flap about and possibly scratching the paint.
Inserting and removing the skis or boards is simple. The bracket can conclude what one hand, ensures that they are tightly closed, and on the other hand offers a good protection against theft.
The disassembly is done without residue and within three minutes.
Either up to two boards and a pair of skis or up to three pairs of skis (then but no board) are transported. Who wants to carry more, still can put a second pair of carrier onto the roof.
The manufacturer recommends pace up. 120 km / h. It goes without problems but also slightly faster.
Something strange appears a tape on front beam, which must be passed through the door into the passenger compartment. It has a lock so it can not be pulled out. It is designed to provide additional security, but I can not imagine keeping two carriers on skis or boards to a pinched in the door hinge. Then be better slow down (which appears to be a quirk of the manufacturer, but legal provision).
