The quality is great etc etc, but that has been said often enough.
I am writing this Rezesion to make a small but very important matter carefully, note the very few people.
The smartphone side charging current limitation.
A smartphone has 2 charging modes.
- Charging with 0,5Amp throttled because the power of a PC USB port comes.
- Unthrottled charging with more than 0,5Amp because the current of a socket USB charger comes.
So who navigates in his car with a big smartphone, despite the charge the battery pack probably drawn.
The reason is that the smartphone thinks it is loaded via a standard PC USB port and loads only with 0,5AMP on.
It is probably to operate too little charge to display, GPS and Navigation + battery.
Troubleshooting: smartphone pretend it would load on one socket USB charger, so that it can draw as much power as it needs.
At Samsung, it is so that you or pins 2 and 3 or D + and D- short-circuit the green and white cables USB cables together must to get it in the AC mode.
(In the USB Spec. Is true that one should solder a resistor, less than 200Ohm between D + and D-, but that can be neglected. Samsung itself only lays a bridge between D + and D- in its original chargers)
The solution to snip the cord around brings only drawbacks: Looks "humble", not last long, the cable is to use nurnoch in the car, you want to load 2 smartphone at the same time, you need 2 cables.
The solution I propose is simple, durable, invisible and cable unattached.
Thus we come to the crux of this Rezesion.
The charger Amazon is ideal for a small and super simple procedure.
With 2,1Amp the charger pushes enough for 2 smartphones and läst easily decompose.
-> The Ring Unscrew at the top. -> Use a knife to pry the silver ring back gently. This is only plugged it. Not screwed and not glued (thanks Amazon !!!) - Carefully pull> Charger shells apart (plugged in). - Make> Pin 2 and 3 identified. -> Pin 2 and 3 with a drop of solder connecting (of course, on both USB ports). -> Reassemble it. -> Done
Caution was necessary, the pin 1 and 4 mitverlötet no case irgentwie !!!
Of course, I do not guarantee, liability etc for your conversions !!!
If you've never soldered, you should look at friends, acquaintances, neighbors help !!!
The above-made smartphone data relate as I said on Samsung devices. For other manufacturers have to look for other solutions eventuel !!!
PS .: Who is bothered by the bright LED to (too bright ... too dark ... can mans at all times make someone right?!) Of just take a permanent marker and make a splash of color on the LED. Problem solved ...
PPS .: For this function Led. It is often criticized that not at the Led displays the charge status of the charging device ... Yes, it is also not at all! What for? Each (halfway reasonable) battery-powered device itself has a charge status indicator.
