I liked what tascam for the decline in registration in the background (conference, meeting, family etc.); by regulating on manual level with some tests beforehand, the result is good; breath (background noise) is significantly lower when essait record a voice, an atmosphere a bit distant (10m to 15m approximately), eg capture a speech after a 10m piece gives a clear, well intelligible and if that is not enough, up the level in reading, the background noise (micro breath I think) not rise too much and the atmosphere is bright and pleasant; for this I am satisfied we must do better with good mic but there must add at least 200 euros more .... I also liked to navigation ds the device menus for tuning and access to the file, it is easier and faster than I j = ow pe, know a priori, it is intuitive and well thought out and everything is (the dial is very complete for size) Chapter small regret, it seems to me that the internal mic input dynamic level (no external I have not tested) is tight, I find that it saturates quickly enough, finally compared to a DAT 1995 the dnt dynamic was to 93dB; tascam there with this I think it is less; Besides the manual says nothing quality enregistrment does not seem to vary as you move from one screen 16bit / 24bit to 44.1 / 96, the sound is good and especially balance, it is not excessively crystalline compared to its type "" Pioneer " ; Another default, some of the format chosen, after 2h reg file and automatically ends the continuous immediatmeent Recording on a new file; even with a 16GB card eg you can not have a single maximum file size not important .... ds my case, one can weld via a software implementation an interesting thing, I plugged the line into headphone output of a fairly high-end chain (tube amp monotriode etc ...): no wind noise, the sound is very open and balanced, I have not found difference with 10x dvd drive the price of tascam the Converto of tascam is its output stage have been well selected for the price The batteries run down quickly I will ever trust this brand (pro division teac I think) FYI I used this camera 1 month on a decision 30ene
