Qualitatively, the voice recorder is good about it and the recording quality is amazing. Even quieter sounds are very good to understand.
The device is very handy and lightweight. It fits for emergency times in a shirt pocket, but is also used in cell phone pocket the handbag space.
The records are stored in WMA format and it fit about 790 hours of recording on the 2GB (internal memory, not expandable).
Via USB cable, the voice recorder is quickly connected to the computer and the data can use the Explorer (Windows computers) consulted and managed.
The use of a voice recorder saves definitely the smartphone battery and there are situations where it is more pleasant to put a voice recorder on the table, as the smartphone. Especially in an interview with strangers the Olympus voice recorder looks much more professional.
Although the Olympus offers VN-731 much, my option is missing a file to crosstalk partially. Corrections can not be made on the spot, but only after speaking.
On the other hand this can be an advantage, thus it is less concerned with the technique, and remains in the flow of speech - the only works well when you need not too many corrections.
For users of a voice recognition software, such a function would, however, make sense.
Overall, I am convinced of the device. In the long run, however, the variant with Dragon voice recognition software is interesting.
