This tool is primarily intended for small Swiss Wenger and Victorinox. Suggests that its format is adapted to the blades 10 to 15 cm. Nevertheless I managed to recover somewhat damaged blade of a Laguiole knife 20-25cm (which I suspect to be a copy seen how the metal had morflé for not much). It took me a little time to the extent that the tool is designed for blade in proper condition (no coarse for stone) but I managed to redo the wire correctly, we still see the position but he almost bursts were 0.5mm deep, now we have to look for to see. Of course the cutting followed.
I have not had the opportunity to test it on less damaged blades (I took it for a new Swiss Army knife and the knife mentioned earlier, the rest is ceramic or metal with teeth) but given Results on damaged blade, a clean slide should be a cakewalk.
The size is perfect, not too big and it fits easily into a pocket or in the kitchen drawer. We just regret the lack of a guard to prevent any risk of failure in the event of slippage knife (it does not happen to me but one is never too careful).
