The Nokia CA-300 is made entirely of plastic, and Nokia has well made the housing. With regard to the external appearance so there's nothing to complain about. The cable can be pulled out for more as needed, which is very helpful if the cigarette lighter only little space is available. Another bonus: In addition to the 3.5 mm connector has settled an adapter for 2.5 mm connectors Nokia. This is anything but a matter of course and really laudable, since many cell phones use the smaller connector. In addition, the transmitter powered by a proprietary circuit Extra Nokia phones with power, which seems especially useful on long trips. A small drawback, however, there still: The connection for the cigarette lighter is a little clunky advised by the role of the cable, so you have to hope that the automaker has the cigarette lighter well placed. But it is firmly and not fall right out again. The display is monochrome and easy to read. You can change and save the frequency on the side-mounted keys. Unfortunately, only two frequencies can be stored, but that it should be noted the presence of the now very low price only as a minor drawback. More important is the performance. Here, the FM transmitter proposes bravely - but only if you use the right music player. My first attempt with a Motorola W230 phone failed because the songs were played for a very quiet and on the other hand, the transmitter always ausschaltete after a period itself. Reason unknown. Recently equipped with a Nokia 6300, however, the CA-300 worked surprisingly well. Both volume and the quality of the performance was ok, the sound is located roughly at radio level. During the trip, there were some problems depending on the area with the frequencies, since most of them are occupied by radio stations. Nevertheless, the noise stopped altogether still limited. Much more disadvantageous, however, is that the transmitter can apparently operate sensibly only with Nokia accessories. Conclusion: The CA-300 is a mediocre transmitter for a tight budget and is recommended especially for Nokia devices. A quality giant it is therefore certainly not, but it retains the now lower price in mind then you can not ask for much more even.
