I installed these plugs CPL my brother who has an old electrical installation. The plugs its Freebox Revolution did not work between 2 remote parts of just 5m. Those have finally allowed to remove the ethernet cable that was lying in the corridor.
Everything that has been said is true, it is better to sacrifice a power outlet and it heats a little but this is the solution for old power systems.
