After several Eizo, Samsung and NEC Compare I ended up with this monitor, not least because of the first-class support and the 5-year onsite warranty.
One thing to DELL Umsteiger (U2711 / U2713H): The colors on the Dell were accurate. But that's it even with the benefits of Dell's.
The Eizo, although no glare, but a glint IPS is only minimally determine and by no means disturbing. Especially with 2560x1440er resolution which is really hard with the time to read the small fonts with IPS sparkle. The Eizo nothing can be seen. Writings are knackscharf represented.
Another point on which I am extremely critical and what is a very important quality in my eyes: illumination / brightness distribution. Through various reviews and Amazon among others, Alternate I only hesitated because of this with the purchase because some users "halos had bzw.mangelhafte illumination.
My copy has an extremely good illumination in dark images. Have a completely black .jpg image taken and the brightness turned to 100%: it could be seen no illumination differences! Furthermore, I am very satisfied with the black value. Black is really black and not dark gray.
The only minimal drawback, which can possibly be remedied by a calibration:
The White point changed from the left side (warm / yellow) to the right side (cold / bluish). Not much, but a trained eye will see in a full-area white image.
The power consumption at 50% brightness is also very good for a monitor of this size with 31 Watt!
Again for users in a hurry:
Pros:
+ Highly uniform illumination, no halos
+ Neutral colors with sRGB mode
+ Electricity consumption (50% brightness 31 watt)
+ No disturbing glint IPS (see NEC PA, DELL U2711)
+ Response time fast enough for most games or occasional gamers. Were tested Diablo 3+ Elder Scrolls Online
+ Excellent ergonomics
+ 5 years on-site warranty
+ Excellent mechanical processing
+ Incl. Dual Link DVI cable, DisplayPort cable + USB cable
+ USB Hub (unfortunately only 2.0)
+ No noise
Cons:
- Price (however justified in my eyes)
- Response time too slow for hardcore gamers
- No HDMI
- Speakers could have saved Eizo ...
- Touch keys and menu navigation from Dell much better
All in all, the whine but at a high level and I would recommend this monitor unreservedly continue.
