A particular problem in this bridge camera is the NFC antenna on the camera base and the asymmetrically offset to the right tripod thread (the distance center tripod mount to edge battery / SD card slot is only about 10mm).
For this reason, the conventional hand straps are less suitable with a large fastening screw, or with a camera plate for FZ1000 because they overlap partially or completely, both the battery compartment, as well as the NFC antenna. This means that every time the fixing screw must unscrew completely if you want to replace the battery or the SD card.
The "Case Logic SLR DHS101 QuickGrip" is to this problem quite a good and thoughtful solution - below the advantages at a glance:
+ Total quality finish the entire loop (good and breathable padding with mesh fabric, neat stitching, beautiful surface finish of the screw)
+ Compact version (with attached strap fits the FZ1000 eg problems lying in a "Lowepro Apex 110AW")
+ Very good and permanent adjustment of the cushion (because the upper and lower attachment strap are fixedly sewn to the pad)
+ Light weight
+ Small diameter of the fastening screw of only 20mm (thus remain battery / SD card slot and NFC antenna of FZ1000 free)
+ Lower belt receiver (the plastic buckle is secured to the mounting bolt but this rotatably mounted)
However, there are also some things to complain about:
- The price (well, it's certainly more expensive, but you also get similar products for less money)
- The instructions for correct installation and adjustment of the loop is missing
- The lower belt is too short (therefore no optimal adaptation to big hands possible - follow: loop slides from the back of the hand if necessary.)
- The mounting bolt is missing a 1/4 "female thread for tripod mounting (ie the loop must be completely unscrewed, if you want to use a tripod)
Although for me outweigh the benefits, but in particular due to lack of 1/4 "thread of the fixing screw I subtract a star. The other negative points I values together as another star that I may depart.
Power for me the bottom line is a conditional purchase recommendation and 3 stars.
