I bought it for my whole old documents to destroy as I have seen in us Frequently people who herumwuehlen in the recycling box.
Maybe that's a little too paranoid, but I do not want that any sensitive information from me or my account access in any filthy hands where they belong NOT.
The shredder has a switch with three positions:
- Auto (automatically activated as soon as a sheet is Introduced)
- Off (the shredder applies no electricity)
- Rev (Rueckwaertsgang to eventually remove gridlocked leaves)
The unit should be "fed" only with paper or thick paper, CDs and other storage devices can not be destroyed.
Carton I have not tested, but to the device is not even there.
With more than 5 sheets at the same time, you realize how the speed is reduced - so you'd better at max. 5 sheets remain the same.
The supplied container is quite full quickly, you should from time to time raise and pull the paper down and press something into the container, the cutting - but that is not a shortcoming, but rather due to design.
Larger offices, where possible cards and CDs must be destroyed should switch to larger devices which also costs correspondingly more.
Otherwise, however, as I said, the device is worth the money for the price in any case. Strong buy recommendation from my side.
