CONTENTS
Katie Morrisson is daughter of a wealthy father who earns his money by his chains. Quite the party girl she has led the way to the tabloids and her family, the rich, to be rebellious, spoiled blonde girl, which wants to raise no spark of decency and responsibility. In the evening the wedding of her brother someone puts a baby right in front of your hotel door. Along with her new best friend / sister of the sister she is naturally shocked and the first investigations bring to light not who it was, and who owns the baby. A letter and a certificate given to her as a new adoptive mother in charge of the little girl. And even if you the whole thing is a bit fishy, and she does further investigation, so she decides nevertheless first it (all her own mother wishes following) to ensure, in the meantime, for the baby - without anyone will notice it. But just now appeared on the scene to Dean, her brother's best friend - with whom she also has a common past that has not just ended peacefully. Now she has to maintain not only their image of a party girls, but the baby also keep secret before Dean, who apparently does not want to stay away from it themselves.
CHARACTERS
Katie and Dean are quite personable and her family comes across well, although this has no great performances to her brother. Only Monica, the sister her sister, sometimes I was a bit too much, because they had obviously prepared for everything a solution or answer. Katie's character is most realistic yet come across. The rich Girlie which the outside world only some auditions, but basically it has more on the box, as it shows other. The development, it undergoes during "Mama" -Daseins is authentic. The same applies basically also for Dean. But sometimes there were points at which I could not quite understand some actions.
PLOT / STYLE
As mentioned above, the story on the whole, is well established. There are no lengths and the plot progresses quite rapidly. Why me but the first half was better liked than the second, simply is because the this back and forth between Katie and Dean just was entertaining and has finished in my opinion much too fast. Of course, I found all the scenes in which the two have come closer again, beautiful. But the date on which the two can come together again and everything that happens after that, I was being a little too fast. Especially in the past of the two I would have liked, that of Katie's side comes more resistance and that Dean is not quite as fast admits to them again. In addition, the writing style was the end something very ... "cheesy", I would say the times. There was just a bit too much "sugar" in it. And that Dean then is so understanding in all situations and not really anything for Katie does ... I do not know, somehow that was a little too much. Not that the latter is a bad thing, just as it was shown in the book and how it behaves at the end, was for my taste just a bit too corny.
Nevertheless, the book is easy to read, the language is simple and partly funny. And even if the story itself is quite predictable, so the book is still a nice Romance for zwischenurch)
