Ergonomically does not equal comfort

As I daily long front of the computer sit for both's studies, as well as in my free time (up to 13 hours!) And had on my old TOPSTAR Ortega often complain of backache, I decided me to make an ergonomic office chair, and for necessary also right to take money in hand (we are talking about health). After I had really informed me extensively on chairs on the market, came to me in the following selection:
- The IKEA Markus
- The Topstar Open Art 2010
- The Ergohuman
- Multiple (very) expensive chairs from 7oo E upwards as the HAG Capisco, Steelcase Please etc.
All these chairs are in different price ranges (unfortunately you need to look up yourself, because I can not mention here).

I could test it out of these chairs, unfortunately only the IKEA Markus. This is not a bad seat, but he did not totally convinced me and I wanted to respect. Ergonomics and stability still an increase. But the really expensive chairs I as a poor student wanted to draw only as a last resort into consideration when really fails no other chair to my satisfaction. So the Topstar Open Art and Ergohuman remained. I read a lot of opinions and finally decided for the Ergohuman in this mixed variant here, ie with chamois black fabric and back + headrest Mesh, since many people complained that the mesh fabric seat ausleiere so quickly.

The chair was delivered in a true monster package (wrt. Height and weight). Whether or not assembled relatively easily passed, so I had little desire to disassemble again the chair with displeasure and pack, so who is planning to appoint the chair to him simply times to try, I advise but urgently to exploit every opportunity the chair is not yet probezusitzen somewhere.
I took care of all the parameters (seat depth, seat height, height and angle of the neck rest, backrest height incl. Lumbar support, back-pressure of the backrest, height and vertical + horizontal alignment of the armrests) my body shape (1.72, 70kg) and an ergonomic sitting posture (eg 90 ° angle of the legs without the seat calves touching) to. My first impression was very positive, especially convinced me the strength and stability of the chair. I think it is almost impossible to tip over with this chair. As negative I found that the neck support with absolutely straight posture the neck is not supported because it is too far back. I stopped and but think it is possible that this is intended to say, the neck muscles to support alone the head with a straight posture and only from time to time (when you mouse & keyboard not being operated) can be used to relieve the head slightly backwards are leaning against the headrest. Furthermore, the lumbar support expressed very strong, in fact too strong against my lower back. I had almost two weeks problems with it until I read on the Internet the recommendation of an orthopedic surgeon, better (just above the buttocks) to place the lumbar support just above the sacrum, rather than in the upper lumbar region (where I normally immmer had the pain). This I tried, I had to move the backrest to the bottommost latching holes. And I promptly sat much more comfortable in the chair and have this setting now, left for about 10 months, I got the chair so now. Still can not say that one particularly comfortable sitting in the chair you. Especially not if you look far back declines since then due to the lumbar and neck support sit through the point-synchronized mechanism too far "up" and the back pressure of the back is stronger. But I think that ergonomic seating and therefore "healthy" does not necessarily mean sitting comfortable sitting. Anyone who wants to maximize seating comfort which probably needs more a recliner, but where you can not work properly.

CONCLUSION: For the work Ergohuman is a good chair, for "lounging" he is unsuitable. Maybe the chairs from the top price range offer both ergonomic and comfortable seats - in all seating positions. Me is the money but too good to dare this experiment. On the contrary, I would be back before the election, I would not spend so much money on an office chair.
My back problems have decreased significantly when compared to Ergohuman TOPSTAR Ortega, I actually only then to fight so when I exaggerate it again (10-13 hours). But in this case a can not help even the best chair, I think. As between temporal rising, movement and frequent change of sitting position is much more profitable.
