After many years I split my firewood by hand with steel wedges, I have gained for security reasons the Fiskars Safe T. Since I have the degree of the steel wedges away always busy, I never had been problems with chipping, but you never know yes.

I have the Fiskars Wedge then used to spruce and poplar. The gap power is Geniel over the simple steel wedges. But the plastic attachment has dismantled it after a few strokes! Only just a slight deformation, then cracks and then the first plastic part is blown away! This is me so far in the steel wedges not you passiert.Wenn prefer plastic eye than steel, the key is good for all the other characteristics can not recommend him. I'm going to buy myself the normal steel riving knife is safer and cheaper than ever for more than 20 euros a new essay.
