This dongle to connect your TV to a router to access either to the Internet or to a server (PC on). You can play HD video smoothly. I read video in 720p and 1080p without problems. Be careful, there still has some jerks but it seems that this is because of codecs but not all files. Some films 1080p read without jerking while others a bit row. Still have a wireless router 802.11n to ensure proper flow. All my divx passed without any problems. Attention important note, my TV plays MKV files which is not mentioned in the manual.
