There is a pocket behind, between two layers of fabric (no special protection). Similarly, between the two "vertical ribbons" and under the band of horizontal cook "flap", there is a small flat pocket, convenient to store a paper that must remain easily accessible (like the route to take ..). On each side, there is a small pocket in which I hold a super compact Umbrella, but should also walk with a bottle of water 50cl. Under the flap, there are two pockets (which fits easily in a reading light Kobo Glo or 6 or 7 inch tablet), with different "storage" (pencil, card, mobile phone).
Then there was the main pocket, which contains a small zipped pocket 15/20 cm, and a slightly padded laptop compartment. A 17 "will probably not be back, a 15" can be, and less easily.
Not visible in the photos, and it was super nice surprise: the large compartment is zippable. It does not make it 100% waterproof (the zip is not going perfectly until the end), but in any case it avoids any risk of unexpected opening. Only disappointment: if the "clasp" is metal with a tongue of leather, zip itself is plastic.
Two contests: the flap loving. Not super easy to do when the bag is empty (the flap drops too low), but hey, it is not always necessary in any case (and in any case, there is the zip to secure the main compartment if needed). And other information, is that the main compartment is lined in a finer woven fabric; this probably is not waterproof, but it must still protect a little.
Conclusion: a very good surprise, really seems to be worth its price, and seems very resistant.
Well, starting tomorrow will begin the actual use: I will come to edit it turns out that it is less idyllic than expected (or if it's weaker than expected: for now, my backpack east pack held 8 years overloaded every day and is always in great shape three years later certainly a lighter job. This bag must hold at least 5 years, 10 years if possible, to deserve my praise on the long term! )
