For all of you reading this and considering to buy the Xios Pivos DS Media Play, I must warn you: It does not work that great out of the box. Atleast not that great as I expected it to work, but once you've done the tweaking it's a great media center for the price you pay! If you are already Convinced and want to buy it, here are some things you will definitely want to do: - Install the Linux version of XBMC for the pivos Which Can Be found on the official forums pivos. It runs much better than the android if you only want XBMC That is. If You Want to install Android apps, you're stuck with that. - Buy a micro SD card with a decent amount of storage DEPENDING ON your Media Library. Not only will you need it to install the linux distro, but you'll be using it so to store your MediaLibrary data. The internal storage on the pivos is way to slow and wants to make the GUI choppy. (Really going into detail here but I Looked for this for days: If You Want to write your user data to the SD card simply make a folder on the SD card named "xbmc-data" and reboot your system) - Buy a good universal remote Because The One That comes with it does not work that great from a distance. (I use the iPhone app Which works over WiFi and it's great. There is most Certainly at Android app as well!)
