For me, the TZ7 is an excellent camera. I was looking for a complementary device to my Canon SLR, and I found the TZ7 it all. The image stabilizer and face detection are both effective. Videos are an excellent value for a camera and can rivaled with some digital camcorders. The x12 zoom is impressive. The menus are simple and clear for a quick start of the unit. If the TZ7 is a bit "heavy" as competitors, it highlights Panasonic's manufacturing quality, and does not at all "gadget"
Malgrès what we can tell, the mode dial is not so sensitive. Provide a case to protect this little jewel of technology, a spare battery and a 8GB SD card is approximately 1300 pictures
