I have deliberately chosen the new 8926 because my flattened bezel like better. I wanted no digits in the first quarter of the rotary ring; but that's a matter of taste.
The Invicta came with a price tag on some 320 USD a valued Box with me on. I bought them for 79 on Amazon.
The clock looks very good, makes an excellent impression quality and also has just the right weight. The safety strap corresponds to the price tag and is flawless.
The accuracy of the Seiko factory NH-35A is with me minus 5 seconds in the first week! This value would also redound to the glory of some expensive automatic. Let's see if it stays that way ...
As described in some forums, I have the clock in any case for the purpose of accuracy initially drawn and stored at night in the box to the crown. Whether that really influences the accuracy, I will examine and report at times here.
The screw-down crown makes a good impression and the various stages you can raise the clock and set the time and date. When setting the time while the second hand stops, which is useful for a correction.
The rotating ring was initially hard to turn; the flattened bezel probably does not provide much grip as the old, fluted version. After about 30 revolutions with the palm (since they must pass through ...) rotates the ring but pleasant and snapped clean in half minute steps now one. The arrow with red dot snapped it right or left exactly at the 12 and not nearly. The luminous hands and numerals / points are very easy to read. The second course is lit in the darkness for those who want to know exactly at night.
The mineral glass also does not seem to be too sensitive because it has already survived a few ungentle contacts with the car door without a trace.
I can not say anything about the long-term reliability, but also read nothing but good in the forums.
Conclusion: Excellent, classic automatic with unbeatable price / performance ratio.
Supplement, August 2014:
After several months of daily use, the Invicta 8926 is still like the first day. Also various ungentle contacts and salt water could not harm her absolutely. The accuracy / deviation of the Seiko factory is about minus 15 seconds per week! I check every Sunday, correct the clock in the second and then put it on, until a slight resistance of the spring can be felt. Then she tinkers back a week alone at the wrist.
Conclusion after the first few months:
Great, reliable clock, just buy it - and not just because of the unbeatable price!
