By buying this book (! Small paved 650 pages) I thought naively buy a book describing the Japanese culture (NB: book purchased following a council on a website). In fact this is not really the case. "Japanese" is rather a descriptive economic and socio-political japan. The cultural remains fairly small pan. That said, the book is exciting (but be interested in the economy, politics etc.), we learn many things, in fact, complement the cultural aspect that is so deepen in to other works. Sometimes it's a little bit redundant, that's why I do not put 5 stars. Note - to my great surprise - the quality of the writing (structuring, vocabulary, true sentences, etc.), value that is increasingly rare these days. The author, in addition to relying clearly on a real knowledge of Japan and a pointed bibliography can write a book. The style is also very pleasant. It may seem curious that remark, but that particularly struck me in reading this book.
