The reviews on Amazon, as always, quite streaky and since I have the impression that often mix in Fakes, I was generally very skeptical of all products.
Some of the many ratings HooToo but let me hope that this camera would actually provide a good resolution, so I ordered it - with the possibility in mind, to be able to return if not satisfied again.
The camera into wireless embed was no problem at all and the image quality has convinced me immediately, as well as the way of the big angle. Since my previous 7Links is compared really bad.
As I realized a little later, you can easily set up remote access through the HooToo-own system in the interface under the menu item "P2P". With a smartphone you need only the QR code on the bottom of the camera to scan the HooToo app from the Play Goals (I can only speak for Android) to install and the recognized serial number in the interface and in the App password entered. Already you can access through this one app from outside the camera and control them. The functionality of the app, however, is limited, if you know an app like "IP Cam Viewer"! Also, it does not appeal to everyone, to connect the camera to a HooToo-own service.
Those like me who like to access on "IP Cam Viewer" (or similar apps) to the camera and who also at any time can access the interface of the camera wants to turn the e-mail about motion from vacation or off, or to the to launch new camera which can not get to DDNS.
I'm not a novice in this field, as I had already dealt with it for my previous IP Cam.
A new Internet service provider (Drei.at, mobile) and closely connected with a new LTE router did it to me but hard, because I had seen only once, that in my case the port forwarding in the router was not sufficient, but that I also server side "open internet had to "activate. And even then it did not work right away, among other things, probably because my router obviously does not support LoopBack and I therefore within my WLAN always had the impression that the camera be able to address not via the established DDNS domain (at dyndns.org) , But these are problems that affect me with my provider / router constellation that reason, however, is far must be relevant to others.
The point is that I was asked by the seller after purchase by mail if I unless satisfied. When I described my problems, I got sound support (wait a maximum of 1 day per message) and advice on what it could be because I could not access from outside via the DDNS domain on the app. Ultimately, it has been found that my problems that kept me in total for a week on their toes, had nothing to do with the camera itself still with the DDNS service, but with provider and router settings.
My Conclusion:
+ Excellent camera resolution is already close to the approach, what you expect from "HD"! No sham!
+ Good image quality even at night (IR sensors)
+ Easy integration into WLAN
+ Easy to set up access via the "P2P" function, own App
+ Wide range of functions in the interface
+ Also DDNS access works perfectly, my problems were server and router side
+ Very bemühter Support in German
The only minor complaint:
For frequent changes between light and dark in the area (for example, when watching a movie in the home theater) can be heard switching on and off the night function significantly as a "clack". While you can adjust the sensitivity of the interface (at least there is an unexplained setting that is likely to be responsible), but ultimately I turn the camera (per app) mostly just so that they of the light / dark changes that the beamer generated on the wall, will notice as little as possible. That's not a big hassle and a lot of people would probably not interfere with the click sound also.
All in all it took me time and energy to set up this camera, but it is as I said not on the camera itself, but would have been with any other camera as well! The support has helped me, although the source of error (s) were not in the camera, but with me or with my new provider and router.
I see all in all, at present no reason why this camera deserves no full number of points and can recommend without hesitation!
