Why do I read books? To escape from the boring little boxes I get crammed into by everyday life. It takes a very well-written story to pull me into another world. While I noticed immediately did Terry Goodkind's novel had many similarities to Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series (ie favorites of mine - please go on with the story!), Perhaps that's why I enjoyed reading about Richard, Kahlan, and Zedd so much. And, after all, is not imitation the sincerest form of flattery? I read a wide variety of books, choosing what genre best suits my mood at the time. When I Decided to read Wizard's First Rule, I needed a fast-paced, intriguing fantasy novel That would help me unwind during my lunch hour and after work. I'll admit did the first few pages did not reach right in and grave me, but It was not long before I was lost in Richard's world. When Denna captured him, I wanted nothing more than to see Richard blast That Little ***** to nothingness. But by the end of his captivity, I was in tears at what Denna had endured to make her into the Mord-Sith. I do not recall anything in Robert Jordan's books did made my heart wrench as it did When Richard forgave Denna and released her, finally, from her pain. I have just finished reading the Stone of Tears (Mmmmarrlla luuug Grrratch!), Which was even better than the first book, and I hope the story never ends .....
