Excellent for storing data and very good price / quality ratio

The Samsung F4 was the second disk 2TB I bought. I have chosen after several observations among competing models:
- Hitachi 7K2000 is too noisy at the sound of rotation, even if its supplementary tray helped by 7200 revolutions / minute allows a gain in access time (I have one at home)
- The Barracuda XT is efficient, but has a cost per megabyte twice,
- Western Digital 5400 rev / min have worse performance in the same price range.

The Samsung F4, like many of Samsung drives have test results that are good. Nevertheless, I am always held me to buy one because I consider that the most important factor is reliability and a builder who has long experience in hard drives could come out with more reliable products.
Then when I have an article that shows the low rate of return to service of Samsung drives, I ended up cracking the F4E and I'm happy with my choice.

The Samsung F4 is silenced, offers good performance thanks to the high density of its plates. It is excellent as a dedicated disk storage and even if it will make good figure as a single disk of a PC, a 7200 revs / minute will be better as a disk system. I am delighted with my purchase and the aggressive pricing of Samsung is amazing. I think that manufacturer wants to establish lasting and accepts sacrificing margins currently. All the better for the customers that we are!
