MIGRATION DATA PHONE:
To migrate my configuration of a Note 2 Note 4 to this, I started to set up my gmail account. All application I had installed on my GN2 settled on automatically GN4 Google Play store. Similarly, the list of my WiFi access points and of course email, calendar and contacts related to gmail account. To go further, you can use the free utility "Samsung Mobile Smart Switch", which allows you to migrate a telephone (whatever it is) to a Samsung mobile. It's very well done (I like the start of the communication through loudspeakers and microphones before you establish connection WiFi Direct automatically ...) and allows you to transfer: Contacts, Calendar, SMS lists, lists calls, lists of applications (for apps with their configuration, just the list) list of APN, photos, files, and home screen. Well, not everything was perfect but I quickly found a functional phone.
I use several email accounts, not all Google Mail. Last gmail application allows you to manage all your emails (POP3, IMAP, etc.) on gmail. This is convenient one interface.
I tried to use the application "Helium" to transfer applications to their local setup, but it was not very conclusive: the restorations have worked but the specific application data is not restored.
USE:
This defeat comes first when an old Samsung phone is the shift knob [Menu] at the bottom left. Touching it quickly, it shows a list of running applications (formerly hold [Home]). Pressing longer, he display the current application menu. This is actually very convenient as it passes from one app to another faster.
The phone is very responsive. I have not yet felt the "lag" or lack of responsiveness to the call of an app or function. But I use it in a very similar background to my old phone (+ 2000 contacts, 200 apps installed, many photos, even microSD Cards Sandisk Ultra 64GB)
The screen is gorgeous and the adjustable brightness range is wider than the GN2. Useful at night without disturbing your partner ...
The phone reception is always very high level. Both the mobile network (voice / data) as WiFi or Bluetooth. That's very good. The sound quality of the phone is also excellent, hands-free range.
I felt a slight deterioration in the sound quality of HP integrated over GN2 in the lower frequencies. It's pretty minor and I never listen to music with this HP!
Regarding the pen, I could feel a significant improvement. Due to the sensitivity of the stylus doubled but probably also by the greater processing power. Result: one can truly say that it feels like writing on paper. And menu structures have been modified for the treatment of ratings (transcription of the manuscript text, improved forms, etc.) but it is more logical now: you select the zone and you choose [Transformer ...]. It's amazing the power of recognition.
What I did not like: the fingerprint sensor. I configured the release of the home screen with the fingerprint for a week ... then I left to return to the "model" more reliable but less Secure. It mirritait having to drag my finger ten times before recognition of one! But I had recorded several times my finger and my thumb. Perhaps my fingers are too dry they now. Progress in making that side. Moreover, I have not found a way to use the Face Recognition as my GN2!
The daily counter is not a nice touch and the pulse sensor (do not press your finger, place it just to have a good, reliable and systematic reading)
AUTONOMY:
This is an important selection factor for me. I noted a regression on my old GN2 after migrating to kitkat (Android 4.4.4). There I found an excellent autonomy. I can share my experience (over 2 days in common use) but that does not mean much and depends on your usage. I can only tell you that I often use ("OK Google" ... Voice Search is very efficient!) And is connected to WiFi at home / at the office. More interesting I noticed less degradation of autonomy in case of bad signal from the telephone network with my old phones. I spent such a afternoon in a very remote area with very low telephone reception (hardly a bar Edge) and the battery does not drain much faster than in areas of good reception. She has been made to optimize this level? Fast charging (50% in 30 minutes) is convenient but you can disable it if you do not need it. It's probably better for the longevity of the battery.
TO CONCLUDE:
I recommend this excellent phone very powerful and pleasant to use. It lacks the tightness of the GS5 and a fingerprint reader performer but overall my level of satisfaction is very high.
