The Olympus EZ-M7530 II is an excellent lens for the KB-equivalent focal length range of 150 to 600 mm and at a reasonable price compared to other lenses. I have the 7530 II bought as a supplement to my FT 50-200 lens and also made with two, in different focal length ranges comparison images. The 7530 II cuts without having now operated 'Pixelpeeping', very well. This refers now purely on the imaging performance, sharpness and contrast. It says the 7530 II the 50-200, amazingly, as I have to say, hardly after. Exemption at open aperture or Bokeh, I have not checked. There may be differences. But the biggest difference to the 50-200 is the weight and 100 mm longer FT focal length at the top. In the negative range, this is of course the lower light intensity compared to the 50-200 or the next 40-150 MFT lens. But one has to always put the price into perspective, which differs in 50-200 or 40-150 in the range of about 1000 and that's already a lot of money. The 7530 II is an excellent workmanship and makes on my E-M1 a high impression. If you use the full focal length of 300 mm has to be expected but on the E-M1 with a 'hard-working' and audible IS. That's just the impact of very large focal length and is thus not to notice the 50-200 at 200 mm. The II has been really improved greatly in terms of sharpness and image quality, as has been shown in the 'pen and Tell BlogSpot' in comparison photos.
The only drawback I could find is that can collect dust in the ribbing of the zoom ring, which does not look so nice, but is quick to clean with a brush.
My vote, always in relation to the price:
Processing: **** + star because of dust accumulation in the ribbing Image quality: ***** + star AF on the E-M1: ***** stars, the AF for the FT 50-200 working poor at the E-M1 Height / Weight: ***** star compared to similar FT lenses a huge difference
Total: *****
Conclusion: A great lens, sharp, long focal length to 300mm FT, 600 mm KB equivalent unbeatable price. One must of course take swabs regarding the light intensity in buying but this must be borne in mind the price difference, cost the other MFT and FT lenses in similar focal length ranges.
