After my Acer TravelMate 5742G battery had only half of the original capacity, I looked around for a new battery. The battery of RAVPOWER was by far the cheapest. On other sites similar batteries cost about twice as much. The spare battery is not very different from the original: Same specifications and Abmessungen- (fits really perfect) .The battery is not hot, does not smell weird plasticky and also the duration is 3 hours (tested at full screen brightness and office use) excellent especially at the price. Tip: Anyone who wants to test the capacity of its battery is able to do with CMD on Windows easily: Start cmd.exe as administrator "powercfg / energy" entippen, press "ENTER" - wait 60 seconds - indicated open file path and the file to the desktop Copy- Change .html The extension of the file and the browser Open- At this HTML file you can read how much capacity the battery has.
Conclusion: One must here not "discourage" the low price and can close on a low quality, because the battery can no problems with the original match. "Very good"
Update: 12:09:14
After about 18 months, and many charge cycles (Uni), the battery still 72% of its original capacity. The original Acer battery had after 24 months only 46% of its original capacity. Fair to say that the period of use but not charging cycles were counted and the results do not represent a precise, absolute comparison. For me personally was / but worth his salt battery.
