Benefits:
- With 7 small, handy and above all a lot easier than the Iconia 510 and generally another 10 Tablets
- The resolution is higher, fonts look much better and reading easier
- The touch screen is very responsive and reliable
- The performance is stunning, no delays or problems (except: after the last update to Android v4.2.1, the delays were, however, after a factory reset back story)
- Also to use as a navigation system for your car; GPS fix is very fast and reliable
- Recommended as ebook reader; Although display game gelt in the sun, but not so bad that you could do anything with it
- The battery life is approximately 8 hours very well
Disadvantages:
- No SD card slot; the memory can not be expanded as easily as for example when Iconia 510 (except a USB OTG cable and a special app; that's my opinion, but not for everyday use)
- No camera on the back. That would have been nice to like with the phone now and then to take a snapshot
- Only WiFi, no 3G (now there is the Nexus 7 with 3G functionality to be able to go over the mobile network online order)
I use the tablet primarily for e-mail, read the news and as an eBook reader. Times a game in between times and listen to the radio. All problems and thanks to the outstanding performance makes it all really fun!
In order to facilitate the operation, I recommend a stylus. So you hit the keys better when writing and the handling is generally snappier by hand.
7 or 10? For me quite clear 7! The better handling has convinced me completely. The biggest role is played by the lower weight and the fact that the Nexus 7 is good to use even with one hand. Thanks to the slightly wider frame of thumb may still be on the front page and you do not bother typing it.
As ebook reader and for occasional listening to music the 16GB sufficient also completely. Who looks more videos and they should store locally might better deal with the 32GB Veriante.
I have the Nexus 7 bought for 249, there are now the 16GB variant from only 199. Much Tablet for little money compared to the iPads.
From me there for a full purchase recommendation!

Updated on 02.03.2013:
With the new version of Android 4.2.2, the battery life of my Nexus 7 has extended considerably. In my usage profile (approximately 2-3 hours per day usually news or books, e-mails, some music) I come to almost 3 days without the device having to recharge. It is never completely off, only the display.
With a mount for the car I had the N7 now also often times as Navi in use. Again, it looks good. GPS fix came very quickly. The navigation with Google Maps worked perfectly well.
I am still very satisfied with the Nexus 7!
