Rather, I wanted to announce at this point, how to migrate from Linux to Windows, if someone wants this or even Windows has at home on nerve disc. This information therefore, since this system has the problem that when you insert the Windows disc, the installation can not be performed because Windows hard drive does not recognize ... I had as well as first through technical forums beat with very many complex proposed solutions, however, there is here a very simple solution:
In bios change the hard drive of SATA to IDE, then this is also recognized by MS Windows. That's it. Those like me who installed "Windows XP Pro", will also notice that z. B. sound card and LAN / wireless driver from Windows will be installed, but this is not a problem !! Because the drivers are all on the Utility Disc from Acer with it, so that you get of course included! Easy to drive, install and everything funzt as it must be.
Conclusion: Super Notebook! Those who do not want to work with Linux and also has no idea how to implement the above, should ask someone who is familiar with it. If you do not have someone like that at hand, then better the same system with "Windows Vista" buy. However, costs around 40.- more. I can only recommend this laptop from my perspective, because a better (serious) offer with 15.4 "display, I have not discovered.
