Benefits:
- Uses a PCI Express x1 slot, but also moved into a slot x2, x8, x16;
- Short card comes with a mid-height metal cover, ideal for compact PC;
- Immediately recognized Linux (tested with Ubuntu 12.04).
Disadvantage:
- The antenna to the back of the card has a very low gain ... but is easily replaced by a better antenna with extension and socket for the best positioning of the antenna, such as TP-Link TL ANT2405C.
In conclusion, I recommend this device to bring the WiFi in a fixed PC, but it is essential, in my humble opinion, complete with an external antenna of higher gain.
