Return to My Profile: I started about a year ago with the amateur photography (the Sony is my first DSLR / SLT camera) and Scan mainly on vacation, at parties etc. I am definitely not a professional in the field of photography, and can therefore describe only my subjective experiences.
The flash itself is handy and makes a high-quality finished impression. It has a main flash (guide number 58 at ISO 100) which forwards, backwards and sideways rotatable and can be swiveled. In this main flash is still a reflector card and a diffuser, which can be used individually or in parallel are drawn when needed.
Also located on the front nor the second flash, which can be additionally connected in four performance levels (especially nice for portraits).
Immediately below the flash is the light sensor, which captures in slave mode to "flash command" and the AF illuminator, which I do not want to miss (especially the A65 offers no integrated auxiliary light).
On the back, the well legible display the 4 menu / control buttons and the on / off switch (illuminated in the dark).
And last but not least is located on the side or the USB port for software update and another terminal to which (I hope I Vertue me because not) a studio flash can be connected (?).
Companies will flash with 4 AA batteries (in which case high-performance batteries are recommended).
But as it is now working with the lightning?
After a brief settling-in period you can get great results with the flash. The menu is clear and logical, and the operation is no riddle. By "only" four buttons control is reduced to a minimum and simple. Professionals will probably miss to store individual settings or direct selection buttons, for me as an amateur this is but the lighter and smoother alternative.
It is also gratifying that the flash must be simply screwed on the camera and already takes on the chosen by the camera settings - easier it is hardly possible.
Even the wireless flashes turns out to be extremely simple: Lightning Screw - wirelessly set the camera flashes - Remove flash - ready (AF auxiliary light blinks to indicate the flash-ready).
The practical auxiliary light I have already mentioned above, it would however mention at this point once again, as it speeds up focusing just in the dark can be noticeably.
I am totally satisfied with this product and may only issue a strong buy recommendation. Also the price I find absolutely fair, comparing him with the functions offered and the price of comparable flashes of camera manufacturers.
