Since December 2013 I have this very wonderful objective! I was looking for a standard zoom for my D7100. The kit with the D7100 was the Nikkor AF-S DX 18-105 that certainly as a "kit lens" quite ordinary services does and in the price range of EUR 200, - satisfies. For my claims to an "Always top" but the quality was not sufficient. So still was the Nikkor AF-S DX 16-85 in question, but that price is well above the Sigma and Nikon 16-85er I had on loan extensively tested and have also almost bought. However, due to a very favorable offer just before Christmas 2013 I have then bought the Sigma 17-70, though I would have much rather taken at this time the Nikkor. And what can I say, it is just awesome. Top in processing and quality. No front or back focus. A fantastic resolution and image quality. Get sharp, vibrant images. The higher light intensity to 16-85er Nikon is paying off, and also in the "macro-region" (if you can call the proceedings lens so) you can achieve beautiful shots. In short, I have never regretted the purchase and am more than satisfied with this look! - Strong buy recommendation for the Nikon D7100!
